The CHamoru Language and Culture Content Standards and Performance Indicators (CHLCCSP) are designed to cultivate knowledge and understanding of the language and culture of the indigenous people of Guam while simultaneously preparing students with 21st-century skills.
The CHLCCSP provides a curriculum that enables students to learn the Chamorro language and experience the rich culture while attaining 21st-century skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology.
The CHamorro Studies Division expects that CHamoru language teachers cover all aspects of the standards for their respective grade levels and receive ongoing professional development/training based on the standards.
