The CHamoru Language and Culture Content Standards and Performance Indicators (CLCCSP) are designed to cultivate knowledge and understanding of the language and culture of the Indigenous people of Guam while simultaneously preparing students with 21st-century skills.
The CLCCSP provides a curriculum that enables students to learn the CHamoru language and experience the rich culture while attaining 21st-century skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology. The CLCCSP consists of strands, standards, and performance indicators. The CHamoru Studies Division expects teachers to cover all aspects of the standards for their respective grade levels. Teachers should also receive ongoing professional development based on the standards.
