Bank of Guam - Ifit

Award: $2,000 scholarship to attend college, supplemented by a paid Bank of Guam summer internship. The scholarship will be available for use at any 4 year U.S. accredited college or university. Up to ten (10) awards given per year.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:
- Reside in Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or San Francisco, California.
- Be a graduating high school senior, Class of 2018 (copies of transcripts and SAT and/or ACT scores required);
- Submit an application to Bank of Guam, ATTN: Communications Department;
- Submit three (3) letters of recommendation: two (2) from a teacher or administrator from the student’s high school and one (1) from a reference of choice; and
- Submit answers to three (3) essay questions (please see brochure for additional rules), and a one minute video clip about the applicant.

Guam Society of America Scholarship

Eligibility :
- Must submit membership application with $10 fee
- Online application submission required together with letters of recommendation, 4 pages essay or not more 1200 words.
- 24 volunteer hours provided directly to the Guam Society of America and previous Guam Society Membership in 2017.

Guam Women's Club Rick Biolchino Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:
- Applicant must:
- be graduating from high school with plans to attend the Guam Community College and major in Marketing
- be a US citizen and resident of Guam (must present proof)
- file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) listing Guam Community College as a recipient of the Student Aid Report (SAR)
- show cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0 as indicated on an official high school transcript
- complete the required essay. Essay must address the following: future goals, community service history, and financial need.
- submit two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher and the other from a non-immediate family member
- The recipient of the scholarship will be required to attend one Guam Women's Club meeting and to help with the annual Mardi Gras fundraiser.

Merit Scholarship
- Graduate from a public high school or private high schools DoDEA high school
- 3 - 4 years of the highest academic scholastic standing for your graduating class
- Cumulative GPA of not less than 3.0 at time of graduation
- United States citizen; or a permanent resident alien
- Legal resident of Guam for a continuous period of not less than 5 calendar years immediately preceding June 15th of the year the award is to be awarded

Shieh Scholar Athlete Application 2018
Deadline: April 20, 2018
Awards: One male and one female athlete will be given a $2,000 scholarship.
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior who has demonstrated excellence in academics, high school sports, community service, and leadership.
- Minimum GPA of 3.4 based on a 4.00 system or 84 based on a 100 pt system. School Principal to verify record of the student.
- Must be a senior and plans on matriculating in U.S. Accredited College or
- Must submit a photo with nomination.
- Must NOT smoke, drink alcohol or use other drugs.

Eligibility:
- Provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parents.
- Has financial need.
- Is enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.
- Is motivated to achieve your education and career goals.
- Resides in one of Soroptimist International of the Americas’ member countries/territories (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guam, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Northern Mariana Islands, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, United States of America, Venezuela).
- Has not previously been the recipient of a Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity or Live Your Dream Award.
- Does not have a graduate degree.
- Is not a Soroptimist member, an employee of Soroptimist International of the Americas or immediate family of either.
