In Guam, there is a need to increase awareness about the Guam Early Intervention System (GEIS) to families, service providers, the local government and non-profit agencies. Although many babies and toddlers with disabilities or delayed development are benefiting from early intervention services, there are still children out there that have not yet been identified and may not be identified until they reach school age.
To ensure that the public is informed about the program and its services, the Guam Early Intervention System is providing posters, brochures, and other Public Awareness items to clinics, daycare centers, government agencies, non-profit agencies, and other organizations, and the general public.
Each and every one of us has the opportunity to help families get started in the right direction by providing them with information on the Guam Early Intervention System and its services.
If you would like to request for Public Awareness items to display in your office and make available to families, would like more information, or would like our staff to conduct a brief presentation on our program, you may contact Kathrina Bayson at (671) 300-5776/5816 or at geis@gdoe.net
