Universal Pre-Kindergarten School Year 2025-2026

Open enrollment for GDOE’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten program will begin on February 3^rd, 2025. Families from the above school districts may submit applications to their respective district school or any site listed below. Children must be four years of age by July 31st, 2025 (born between August 1st, 2020 – July 31st, 2021) to participate in the program for School Year 2025-2026. Proof of residency must be submitted with the application, as well as a birth certificate or passport for proof of age.

Deadline to submit applications is Friday, April 11^th, 2025. To determine a child’s participation in the program, a lottery may be held. If so, logistics of the lottery will be provided by the participating school. Please note that students from the attendance area will be priority, however, out of district applications will be entertained if there are available openings after the end of open enrollment.

GATE Pre-Kindergarten School Year 2025-2026

The Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program will be accepting pre-screening applications for GATE Pre-Kindergarten SY2025-2026 between February, 3^rd, 2025 and April 11^th, 2025. 

The GATE Pre-Kindergarten program offers activities that address the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of our students. Students enrolled in this program will participate in an accelerated curriculum that fosters eager and effective learners to help prepare them for kindergarten.

To qualify for placement in the GATE Pre-Kindergarten program, your child must be able to interact with others without the presence of a parent or guardian, must participate in three tests: (1) a visual-motor integration test, (2) a vocabulary test, and (3) a visual-closure test and must score at least 130 on any one of these tests or get an overall score of 350. Children must be four years of age by July 31st, 2025 (born between August 1st, 2020 – July 31st, 2021) to participate in the program for School Year 2025-2026.
